Until recently, There was no way to get a small run of CD's for an affordable price.  With the advent of the recordable CD (CD-R), small runs are finally viable.  The  audio quality is no different than a CD produced from a glass master.  In fact, a CD-R  is a great medium for your production master to make a glass master  from.  So what is a CD-R?  It is a CD that is burnt with a laser as opposed to pressed  with a glass master.  The reason CD-Rs are different color than regular CDs is that the ink in the CD-R is used by the laser to burn the "on-off" info into the foil.  There is one slight drawback to CD-Rs, and you may not see this in print too often.  Some older CD players cannot track the odd CD-R  here or there, and the reasons vary.  This is a rare occurrence, but  ZOLLA PRODUCTIONS is committed to keeping the client informed up front.
